Sharing these #pastel images for the first time. #Pastels have been my secret passion from the beginning of my creative journey. This material fascinates and gratifies me for many reasons. The intense tactile experience of moving and blending the minute grains of pigment with your fingers is unique to only this medium.

Greg Mort and Jon Mort will host their annual summer Open Studio August 5th and 6th, 10 am to 5 pm at Fieldstone Castle, 129 Marshall Pt Lighthouse Rd, Port Clyde, Maine. An artist tour and talk will take place Sunday, August 6th at 1 pm. Greg created ILLUMinATIONS a very unique series of twelve watercolor and mixed media works of art to take the realism genre to new heights. His concept combines craft and technology to draw the viewer into the image on an intimate level that only truly original art can achieve. Jon’s GOOD BONES Jon will display a collection of original colored pencil works of art as well as new additional to his Portfolio Print Collection.

The exhibition will feature Greg’s twelve “A NEW VIEW OF THE WORLD” paintings and Jon will present a collection of original drawings titled “Past and Forever” as well as his New 2022 Giclee Print Portfolio.

Pleased that "American Treasure" was selected as the June Special Release!

Holiday Special Release “American Treasure” by Greg Mort, Limited Edition Lithograph Print was created by the fine art craftsmen at Westland Printers on archival paper. The image size is 15½" X 15" and the overall paper size is 24" X 24". The “American Treasure” Print was produced in a small edition of signed and numbered images. A selected number of Artist Proofs were printed and all were signed by the artist.

Greg Mort created the original “American Treasure” watercolor at his Ashton, Maryland studio to honor the American spirit. The painting was acquired by a private collector from Potomac, Maryland in 2001. In 2015 it was assented into a permanent museum collection. GregMort.com https://etsy.me/3mdS8vf
